COVID 19 Information
COVID-19 has caused disruption to accommodation and tourism across New Zealand and around the world.
Treghan is open and is looking forward to sharing this beautiful part of the world with you again
With private guesthouses, we are able to ensure certainty for guests. Each guesthouse is totally self contained, so we are able to provide easy physical distancing as well as best industry practice in hygiene and sanitising.
We were already maintaining very high standards of cleanliness but we are now also
- Conducting full sanitisation of all touchable services
- Providing hand sanitiser in each guesthouse for the use of guests
- Minimising contact between our team and guests
- All our team wear gloves and masks during the cleaning process between guests
- Additional towels and amenities are available in each guesthouse if preferred as an alternative to servicing
Booking and Cancellation
There will be no cancellation fees for guests who book with us direct and need to cancel due to COVID 19 or New Zealand alert levels. This means anyone who has booked direct with Treghan will be able to move their booking to later in the year (up to and including 31st March 2021) without penalty and their deposits will be credited against this later booking. Or you may choose to cancel and receive a refund in full. This only applies due to a need to cancel or postpone owing to COVID 19 and lockdown levels in New Zealand. Note this does only apply to cancellations made as a result of alert levels. As per our normal Booking Terms, we recommend travel insurance.
Please note we cannot offer the same for bookings made through third party on line booking websites.
